Hi I’m trying to make my first print but I’m facing an error: Printing can’t be started. The filament type are not compatible with printing file.
I tried with the PLA received with the printer and eSun ones, same issue.
I’m using AMS btw.
Any Idea how to resolve that?
I would guess that you have some profile calling for say “PETG” when you open it, but you only have PLA loaded int he AMS.
Check the filament settings on the print profile to make sure you have selected a filament in your AMS:
Edit: to be clear, when you first open the print profile the filaments will be populated with whatever the designer had when he created it, so you need to select your own local filaments before printing.
Hi,
I actually face this problem only when i try to print files directly from the touchscreen, I works fine when I use Bambu lab directly.
The file you a printing has to be sliced for the filament you are using. Are you able to provide the file you are trying to print?
If your using Handy, choose User Presets or My Filament and change it to what you want.
If your using Bambu Studio, most likely you have a different type of filament loaded in the slot & you need to go to the printer & change the setting under Filament…
I have the same problem and I have never had an AMS connected. I only print single-color PLA and that is what is loaded on the external roll and PLA was entered and is indicated on the printer screen. If I want to print the exact same job again from the touch sceen, I get the message shown above and cannot proceed further. I am forced to send the print job over and over from Studio each time I want to keep printing more of the same item. I’ve had the machine over a year and this issue did not start until after the last update. I used to not even bother entering a filament type at all and things were just fine for almost a year but after the update, my X1C demands that I have a filament loaded or it won’t continue with a print job.
Any file from the list, the Benchy for exemple
You have plain/basic PLA loaded and (if using 3rd party filament or external spool) set the filament type via the display?
