Error slicing a file with BS vs PS

Error slicing a file with Bambu Studio vs PrusaSlicer

Model in question: Bambu Lab X1 Filament Purge Test for AMS by misterpeppery - Thingiverse

Trying to slice this model in Bambu Studio results in an error: “Warning: The object has empty layers between 1.6 and 26.8 and can’t be printed.” Parts of the object at these heights may be too thin or the object may have faulty mesh.

But the same file in PrusaSlicer slices perfectly with no errors detected!

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

dit you enable “detect thin walls” setting ?

That did it. That option is in an interesting spot…

Thanks!

I’ve got a similar problem. Sadly, the “detect thin walls” trick did not work for me.
I used the same model on the software for my q-idi printer, and it worked fine without errors.
Maybe I should add the file in question…
Shark.Aero_RC_Shark_v5.0\STL files\Fuselage\fuselage_1_v5.0.STL

planes are a bit complicated if i remember correctly
prusa slicer added a special option for planes only , as the algorytme that is used is differend, and only apply’s to planes

as before only simplyfy3D could print those , now prusa slicer can print those
but i do not think bambu took over that option as it is for a verry specific case ( model planes only )

i got no idea about cura or others if they do it correctly, but i do not think you can get that fixed in bambu studio for now

This has been driving me mad. Ticking Detect thin walls worked! Ta muchly
