Error when upgrading to Bambu Studio 01.07.02.51

Does anyone else get this error when installing the latest version of Bambu Studio?

I downgraded back to 1.7.1.62 and it works again.

Hello P1PNoob
I just installed the build a few minutes ago and got the same error. I needed to close other programs without any relation to Bambu Studio (skype, firefox!!??) I investigated and the reason was that the dll was used by these programs (skype and firefox).
:thinking:So strange, isn’t it, lol!

I found this weird too. Also after getting the network plug in to work, now when i go to open a new tab in Firefox the tab opens as blank or with an error message. Someone at Bambu labs wants to know what kind of porn i watch?

Went to the offending file itself and tried to delete it directly. Found that Nvidia apps had hooks into them too. Said Nvidia Broadcast but had to exit out of both Nvidia apps in the tray to get it to work.

I believe this network plugin offers itself as a video source for purpose of live streaming therefore is locked for any app that has camera access. Close them out then the file is writable.

I found that Teams.exe had a handle open to that BambuSource.dll on my system. Closing out Microsoft teams allowed the update to continue.

Ok, closing out Microsoft Teams filed my installation issue as well. Can someone explain why these two applications should be sharing a Bambu DLL??? WTF

Thanks to whoever figure this out. Never would have guessed.

I had the exact same problem. (And Teams app wasn’t even open.) So I shut down what I could of the applications running in the background - and the installation re-ran/resume fine. There’s a :beetle: somewhere, but at least it went like this.

I had the same problem, but for me the DLL file was being used by Nvidia Broadcast. (Huh? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:)

Easy way to find out what process is using the file:

  1. Install Microsoft PowerToys (free) from the MSFT Store.
  2. Right-click on DLL file and select “What’s using this file?” (File Locksmith tool)
  3. A list of processes using the file will be displayed and you can kill them.

I believe that Dell is atempting to instal Audio drivers, thats why you getting error when teams / skype is running - my was installed recently (I am not using any of those 2) ; nut instead your erro I get message that Dell Audio plugin is not compatibile with Bambu Studio.
