eSun matte black PLA

There is no stock of Bambu matte black PLA for U.K. so I ordered eSun matte black from Amazon. The filament arrived and has a ‘dusty’ look to it but this is in fact small light coloured specks within the filament. I thought they might disappear when printing but they did not. Example picture of printing with eSun and Bambu matte black attached.

Is this normal?

Can someone recommend an alternative matte black filament with similar colour tone to Bambu?

I would suggest PolyTerra Charcoal Black Matte https://www.amazon.co.uk/Polymaker-Eco-Friendly-Filament-1-75mm-Carton/dp/B08QMBPZBF/ref=sr_1_3

I can’t prove it but other PolyTerra matte colors I’ve used have been near identical to Bambu matte colors.

I have also used Overture Cream Black, its not identical but it has a great finish and is not shiny. https://www.amazon.co.uk/OVERTURE-Filament-Clog-Free-Consumables-Dimensional/dp/B0BRPSQPG4/ref=sr_1_2

Looks like Galaxy Black or Black Marble to me.

I second that. I’m 95% sure that Polyterra is exactly the same filament. Not only is the color indistinguishable, but also the surface texture is exactly the same. And it is a very special texture that I haven’t seen in other filament yet.

I tried the PolyTerra charcoal and it looks great and prints great for me. I’m only buying that now.

Thanks all, I ordered the PolyTerra off Amazon. I’ve not printed with it yet but I can’t see any of the same specks I saw with the esun filament :crossed_fingers:
