Exclude objects on multi color/material prints after final change

Currently it is not possible to exclude objects on a print containing multiple colors/materials. I wish for the ability to exclude objects on multi-color prints after the last filament change has been performed. My use of multi-color printing is mostly limited to text on the first couple layers and then a single color for the rest of the print.

I’m not sure what the limitations here are but i hope this can be made a reality considering the amount of material I can save by excluding just the one object that lifted from the bed or failed otherwise instead of cancelling the whole print or risking complete print failure.

I accept that if it would be simpler to do the exclude after the last colour change, but it would be much more useful if it could happen at any stage of the print - even if it means colour changes happening only for excluded prints.

Would be interesting to look at the gcode out of the slicer to see how it passes the exclude info on to the firmware, to see if there are any options with some tweaking of the gcode to allow excludes to also work for multi colour.
