Hello,

I would like to edit some of my already published profiles in order to set them as exclusive.

This model has previously been shared on MakerWorld as well as on another platform, and I would like to ensure that my approach fully complies with the exclusivity guidelines.

To do so, I am considering the following process:

  • First, removing the model from all other platforms
  • Then waiting a few days before making any changes on MakerWorld
  • Finally, updating the already published model on MakerWorld to mark it as exclusive

Could you please confirm whether this method is compliant with the exclusive model guidelines, or advise me if there is a more appropriate procedure to follow?

I’ll post the rules. 2.2.2 probably applies to you. :+1:

2.2.1 14-Day Exclusive Model: this Model type must meet the condition of being a first-time release, having never been previously released on any other 3D model platform or channel, and remaining exclusively published on MakerWorld for the term of the Program to gain 14-Day Exclusive Model status.

2.2.2 Exclusive Model: This Model type must meet the condition of being exclusively published on MakerWorld for the term of the Program. If previously published on another 3D model channel or platform, the Model must be removed from the other 3D model channel or platforms prior to joining the Program and seeking Exclusive Model status.

I’ve already joined. The model has already been published.
This sentence doesn’t seem to apply to my case

Then I would make sure to delete the models from the other sites as soon as possible. You cannot retroactively opt out of the exclusive program for a certain period of time. Especially now that you have made the case public, so to speak.

Alternatively: Switch to private mode on the other sides, so that no one has access while you are in the program.

And if the problem can’t be fixed at all, you can also set MakerWorld 3D models to private, which is a roundabout way of removing the models from the program. You can do that over the next few days, for example, to bridge the gap until everything is sorted out.

Creality Cloud is easy to ger models removed. Ebay and Amazon are almost impossible to have a 3D models removed. Ebay will use every excuse to protect the pirates.

To continue protecting your copyright, please revise or supplement the materials as required by the opposing platform to clearly demonstrate the validity and ownership of your rights. Once the updated materials are submitted, we will promptly re-initiate the complaint on your behalf.

Tokopedia needs additional information to verify that the reported listing infringed on your Intellectual Property rights. Please provide an official Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) certificate or official digital download for verification. Kindly take note that website screenshots are not acceptable.

I included screenshots of the model on Fusion 360… of course I don’t have official Intellectual Property Rights… what do they mean with “official digital download for verification”?

Some scumbag is selling prints of my models on this Tokopedia dumpster. They didn’t even changed the photos from the makerwolrd page. And yet they rejected to take the seller or the insertion down.

I just hope Makerworld is not asking for my fusion files to give them to those thieves. o_O

A year and a half down the line, how is this copyright service valued?
I added several violations, and nothing is happening for months now. 1 escalated and 4 still under review. So far it has not been working for me. How do you all evaluate this service?

Absolutely useless. 0 out of 2.

I got the second removed asking wallapop by myself. So I guess this is the point:.you have way more chances doing the claim by yourself.
