Exclusive points - strange values

Hi,

Can someone explain these strange Exclusive Points figures to me?

As you know, there are four point thresholds for submitted models: 15, 12, 20 and 30 points. In the exclusive option, these values are increased by 25% (multiplied by 1.25), meaning that after the corresponding number of downloads/prints, we will receive: 18.75, 15.0, 25.0 and 37.5 points.

At the moment, my models are mainly in the first and second point brackets, which means I should be receiving 18.75 or 15.0 points for them – or multiples of those figures, if the number of downloads on a given day is high enough to earn points more than once. And for the most part, these are the figures that appear on my list.

However, I find myself pondering values such as:

  • 17.18
  • 21.75
  • 18.12

because I find it difficult to identify a reasonable underlying value for them.

I also find it hard to understand where the figure 22.5 comes from. Because when I divide it by 1.25, I get 18.0 – and there is no such score threshold. It looks like 15.0 × 1.5, but then where would the multiplier 1.5 come from?

Am I missing some important information, or am I simply missing something here?

I think you missed this:

There was another change made to the system.

Edit: Or maybe I should have read your post better. I think your discrepancies are likely related to points weighting system that is also applied. I’ve seen some strange values like 14, 20.62, 28.75, etc.. they are all over the place. In most cases for me they have gotten better than how they were in the past.

What I also find baffling is that, over the course of a few days, the same model—while still within the same score range—is assigned different values.

I have absolutely no idea what this is all about.

Looks like you have 2 distinct models.

The one labeled “BED” is in the earlier stages of earnings (or what used to be at least | first 50 downloads), so the point difference makes sense. If those are the same you might want to remove one from the exclusive program, so you don’t get penalized in the future. The second one might fit better in the “remix” category. I didn’t do a deep dive into them I just noticed you have two different models.
