They’re not playing on beginner ignorance, you ignored the rules and that’s not anyone else’s fault. There’s a pop-up that clearly says there are guidelines and rules that you have to agree with.
Also, I don’t think it’s fair to complain there’s criteria to the program, it’s called the Exclusive Model Program but it’s unreasonable to say that exclusiveness must be the only part of the program. That’s like saying Burger King must only serve burgers
If you look at the new achievements one of them is
That said there are so many exclusive models on profiles that have this achievement. Makerworld should work with that instead of turning the dials on the point system.
A lot of these models make the exclusive program because they painted them in bambu studio? This should not be possible.
Just curious and please correct me if I’m wrong. In reading 5.3.2 from MakerWorld Exclusive Model Program Agreement a boost on an Exclusive model should be worth 18.75 points right? If that is the case I have never received more than 15 points for a boost on an exclusive model. Anyone else getting 18.75 points for a boost?
Not sure what the badge really has to do with anything, models from their AI generators are allowed to enter the exclusive program assuming they meet the other criteria
That badge doesn’t have anything to do with painting them or bambu studio, its in relation to the generation tools they offer in maker lab MakerLab and just means they have exported a lot of models from the lab
There was a time when MW was giving out reward points for using MakerLab tools. Also, not everything you export from MakerLab has to necessarily end up as a Model online. The Make My Statue for example is good fun with friends and family.
It also seems that these new badges are more for users (downloaders) rather than modelers (uploaders)… considering there are also badges for people who write the most comments and give the most ratings.
Not sure what you mean by “make”… they “make the exclusive program” because the designer checked the exclusive box when they uploaded the model. You need 200 prints before you can check the exclusive box though.
That said, you could add a cube primitive in Bambu Studio and upload that as exclusive. Of course, that also means that you didn’t read the rules, but it will not disqualify it from the program until it gets reported or checked when they try and redeem a gift card.
