@makerworld
right before i start i make keychains,yeah they are not big and text when i add a model tells me they dont qualify for exclusive
It seems your model is a 2D Model, which violates the Exclusive Model Guidelines and may be removed from the program (with points revoked).
im happy with normal points thats np
my problem is i noticed someone doing keychains exclusive so i reported it and get back that they havent violated anything ,why im over 270 models but edit any of them and they dont qualify
MakerWorld’s rules around what qualifies as an “exclusive model” aren’t the clearest, but my guess is because the model you linked seems to be written in OpenSCAD and is customisable. That might be giving it a bit of an edge in qualifying for the exclusive category, even if it’s also just a keychain.
I hadn’t considered the OpenSCAD and customization factor. It makes sense that it could give it an edge for the exclusive category. Hopefully, MakerWorld can clarify the guidelines a bit more in the future to avoid confusion.
well indeed he is in violation of exclusive program, as his profile is somewhat of 3 months old with a suspicious number of downloads and boosts for generic designs, i’m pretty sure he did not read the terms or he is trying to fool the system…but don’t worry on his next point redemption he might get violation deduction.
but i will give you a good one, open a general inquiry support ticket, link his page and model and ask if this is a violation or not, and come back here and let me know what would they say.
