External Air assist

Hello all,
this topic is for everyone who has retrofitted their H2D with the laser upgrade kit.
I installed it yesterday and am a little surprised that the Air Assist pump has to be set up and connected “externally.” With the H2D laser, it is integrated into the printer! Has anyone tried to install it in the printer?

There are instructions on how to replace a defective Air Assist pump in the printer. Is the cable located there? Is the bracket installed or can one be printed? I would prefer it if the hose to the laser head were routed in the same way as with the Laser Combo. As it is now, I think it looks “homemade”…

Bambu announced upon the reveal of the H2D that the upgrade kit would require the air assist to be external. You cannot install it inside the unit

Try it too, if it works:
Built-in Air Pump Replacement Guide

I suspect that this will not work, otherwise Bambulab would certainly have offered an option to install the pump directly, because disassembly of components is necessary during the conversion anyway

I can tuck in the tube connector, that comes with the kit, in the center spce of the buffer (within notches), similarly to H2DL and can route to inside but is there a mode that will make that tube come outside from side or top with some kinda special riser that wont jeapordize the top cover HAL sensor. I use the external filament space for TPU tube.
