Extruder knocked out of alignment, possibly damaged

Brand new A1 mini user here. Things seemed to be working well, but after pausing and re-starting a project, the extruder began moving to low, scraping the bedplate and then the top of the project. In the process, the extruder seems to be off center and now filament comes out of the nozzle sideways and just collects into a blob.

I think a firmware update resolved the issue of the extruder moving too low. But now I wonder if I damaged it and if there is a way to repair or replace. I put in a support ticket 5 days ago and am still waiting on a response.

Did you take it apart? Is the nozzle really bent? Or just the silicone sock is on at an angle? Hard to tell from this picture alone.

Ah, good question. Here’s a not-so-great image from underneath. It looks like the sleeve may be torn. I have been skittish about taking it apart to check, but I’ll give it a try and hopefully it is just the silicone sleeve out of whack.

Indeed, silicon sock was just torn and moved at an angle. Removed it and now it’s working like a charm.
