hi my printer started to click when it unloads filament,
when it loads the filament i cant hear a clicking sound, it sounds normal when loading fjilament it also prints normal.
Just a wild guess here - isn’t that the sound that the spring loaded filament cutter makes when cutting the filament? My printer sounds the same and did so since day 1. So I guess it’s supposed to sound like that.
Hi, the sound you are hearing is normal. The filament is first being pushed back by the extruder gears, resulting in some tension buildup on the filament pathway and AMS hub spring. Once the filament is pushed as far as it can, you might hear the ridges of the extruder gear scraping on the end of the freshly cut filament held in place by the before mentioned tension. Nothing to worry about, it’s just making sure the AMS feeder has an easier job pulling back your filament after it was unloaded from the extruder.
@WilkPolarny @iChris thx, just to be clear we talking about the same sound there are two sounds… from 00-01sec there is the clicking noise and then u can hear the ams …
the ams i know is normal… the sound coming directly from the extruder.
but the sound only is at the very begining of the video is what is worring me :D… u have to replay it so u can hear it… maybe u heard it but just to be sure
i already have 200 hours on it i never noticed it before ? but im not sure anymore now lol
Yeah, thats what I’m talking about, My P1S’s and my X1C are all doing both sounds from your video.
