I ran a maximum flow rate test on my H2S with the 0.8mm high flow nozzle.
For this, I chose 1.4mm layer width and 0.56mm layer height to slow speeds down as much as I could, in order to reduce variables such as acceleration, pressure advance, transients etc.
To avoid warping or layer collapse due to heat buildup in the model, I used 100% part cooling and 100% auxiliary fan. Print temp was 255C on Anycubic PETG.
Looking at how fast the extruder was rotating, and how much filament that got fed by the AMS (filament buffer “pumping”) was quite amazing.
I ended up at 58mm3s with a perfect finish, layers above this showed some weird stuff happening (you can see it in the video). But I never got true underextrusion, even at 80mm3/s. To ensure I have enough margin for regular printing, I reduced the max volumetric speed to 42mm3s for the filament profile (roughly 75% of max melting capacity).
