Extrusion Motor Overloaded

Hello everybody.

Ive received my H2D today and printed 3 smaller objects before drama struck.

When printing Multicolor, i got the error Extrusion Motor Overloaded around 1.5h in. Followed all the steps, filament was running fine → continued printing.
After 30 minutes, same error. So i did the same again but the error was reappearing in shorter and shorter intervalls. I completely reassembled Printhead, but the issue still persists (however, it worked a bit longer before crashing).
What i noticed is, that this issue often appears when switching Hotends.

I already installed 2 completely new hotends (again) but the issue keeps reappearing and actually, kills my nozzles.

FYI: Alll my Filaments are PLA or PETG and the issue is with bambu and other manufacturers. The only 2 non Bambu i tried are also PLA, which i correctly configured (both external), so i know its also with Bambu Filament.

Annyone else who encountered this issue and maybe knows a fix? I was really excited for this printer but rn, it turns itself into a really expensive nightmare…
Grateful for every response!

I recently found mine doing this on the left nozzle only. And that nozzle is not reading the correct temperature. Maybe try raising your temperature for the filament 10° and see if that fixes the issue. If so then you might have the same issue I’m having. If that works I wouldn’t say it’s a permanent fix, but just a troubleshooting measure.

Wow! Havent thought of this! It actually appeared for me on both nozzles but mainly the right one. My latest print worked in multicolor now, so thats the first thing im gonna try once the issue comes back (which im certain it will at that point). Ill keep this thread updated.

But just to clarify: You also had the terrible clicking noise of the extrusion motor fighting and then this exact error code? Bcs i havent really found much about this

Another information about this:

Printing with only 1 Extruder works fine all the time, not once have i gotten this issue there. So only Multicolor which makes me believe that the temperature sadly may not be the fix

Mine does it at all times right now. I do get the clicking sound. Multi or single color it does it. So I can’t use my left nozzle at all.

I haven’t experienced this issue have you checked the steel filament guide tube for the left nozzle ?

Dual Extruder Filament Guide

I just seen this:Scenario 2: The abnormal filament may be stuck at the extruder filament guide entrance or inside it.

I’m not sure if this will help, but did you try disabling auto flush in the preferences?

No i have not tried that, but i will now. Thank you! :pray:t2:

Gonna answer in english again so in case someone else and non german runs into the same issue:

As of today, i printed roughly 6 hours in MultiColor without any problems.
I installed two completely new nozzles (0.4), deactived the flush in Filament settings and raised the PLA Temperature to 230. Hope this issue is settled now and wont reappear. Ill keep this thread posted if anything changes.

Seems like i jinxed it. Same issue happened again… I pressed continue and got unstuck normally but that shouldnt be normal…

Another update. Same issue within minutes. So printing is completely impossible… Anyone else knows a fix for it? Support isnt responding as of now

I am also experiencing this on two different H2D printers. It seems to occur on dissolvable supports for me. One is using PVA and the other is using Aquasys 120.

Mhh interesting. Im only using PLA so i wish i had your form of error. But for this price, it shouldnt happen at all. Idk how often it occurs to you but for me it’s effectively unusable on dual nozzle

Just wanted to write back. I was hesitant to raise the temperature any further because I was already at the manufacturers recommended maximum temperature but shortly after posting decided to raise the temperature on the PVA print that had been stalling with this error. It has been printing overnight without problem. This appears to be the solution for my issue. Thanks!

nozzle is not reading the correct temperature

Did Bambu support do anything about this or is it just a quirk of the H2D that needs to be accounted for with print settings moving forward?

With the various issues I’m having they just confirmed they are going to send me a new x-axis and toolhead. I would definitely not accept this as a quirk. You have some sort of mechanical or software issue.

Short question, is the spring in the back also clicking/jumping sometimes when using an AMS? Dont know if this is normal behaviour since its my first bambulab.
