Trying to upload my first model. It keeps failing but not sure why. I have removed all settings so they would be at default. But I keep getting this fail message.
Your print profile “0.20mm Standard @BBL X1C” for “3 Pot Planter” did not pass the slicing test. Please make sure the model is sliced normally on Bambu Studio before uploading.
Failed Uploading a 3mf file that contains custom printer types or filament types is not allowed.
There is no custom printer types or filament.
Can someone give me some idea on how to do this?
Thanks for any help.
For some reason, the Slicer AI seems to think that your 3MF file can’t be printed. Now the question is why:
- The model is defective
- There really are still costume profiles stored in the 3mf file.
- The model is so complex that the slicer can’t handle it
My guess based on the notification: Either there’s a custom profile saved somewhere - for example, a customized filament profile not from Bambu - or you’re using a beta version of the slicer to export the 3MF files.
What version of studio are you running?
Side note: The cloud slicing is just awful sometimes. There might not be anything wrong.
IIRC the cloud really hates “Print By Object”, check that its not enabled.
If you send a copy here to the forum we might be able to help, but without the source its all aimless suggestions
Thanks for the reply. I am using the latest version of Bambu Studio. The file slices and prints fine.
I started a new project and up loaded the stl and saved to 3mf. I used that to upload after the 3rd fail. I sliced and printed with default settings except for the supports. And still get the same fail message.
2.8.2.60 The newest. I was thinking about removing this and going back to 2.7.1.62 and try again.
Print By Layer is what is selected.
Sliced fine for me as well. Maybe makerworld is upset at the included filament profiles
Thanks for looking. I am going to do a new profile with the p1s and see if that works.
Update Thanks Bullocks, I started a new project using the p1s and changed the filament to show that all were bambu lab. It uploaded. I forgot to notice that in red it shows Uploading a 3mf file that contains custom printer types or “filament types” is not allowed. Filament Types was the problem. a couple were custom types selected. So If it is not in their list it can not be used in the uploaded model.
Hi, your issue is similar to one I had. Are you using the BETA version? If so, to me it gave lots of errors and didn’t let me upload to makerworld.
Hope it helps!
