I downloaded a model from MakerWorld. It has great reviews, but my result was rather bad.
I have a P1P with AMS. I didn’t make any changes to the 3mf file. I used Bambu PLA Basic Blue (to print the keyring in a single colour).
As you can see in the photo there are weird lines round the shark’s mouth, and the upper fin did not complete. I’d previously tried the two colour version of this model but have the same problem.
Other things I have printed such as a flexi cat have worked out fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions what I might be doing wrong? Thank you.

Regarding the nose, try drying your filament. Filament can be quite moist fresh out of the bag.

The fin appears to suffer from insufficient cooling time. You can either print two sharks placed apart on the build plate or force a prime tower by enabling a smooth “Timelapse” in the “Other” settings.

Thank you! I was wondering about moisture in the filament.
I appreciate the suggestion re printing two sharks and a prime tower. I’m a newbie so thank you for taking the time to help. I’ll try these out and see what happens.

You might also try reducing your hot end by 10 degrees unless you are using the low end of your filament’s recommended hot end temperature. Different filament brands can have vastly different temperature requitements.
While being another mean to countering warping and curling, I"d advise to only use this as a very last resort. A lower nozzle temp can have drastic effects on layer bonding.
With dry PLA Matte, a clean plate and a warmish environment speed, layer height and if neccessary, enabling supports are usually quite sufficient.
Thank you. Yes, I learned that the hard way (different temperatures/filament type). Bambu Metal and Bambu Silk gave me initial headaches. I have yet to try different brands.
Copy that, Eno the Thracian. I’m working with low humidity where I am, I keep the plate clean - just need to ensure filament is dry enough. Thank you.
