Trying to understand what may have caused this failed print near the end. I feel like with the under extrusion patch there may have been some feed problems with the AMS.
It was printed on the X1C with Sunlu PETG which I had dried. The beginning of the print was excellent but for my own knowledge I’m hoping to figure out what could cause something like this.
That model looks pretty narrow so may have a narrow footprint on the build plate. You may need to get more support around the model to keep it attached to the build plate or print in a different orientation.
If it is build plate adhesion, properly cleaning the plate and increasing build plate temperature may help. Brims, maybe a raft, might help too.
I suspect that tall skinny model wobbled a bit and was not where the nozzle expected it to be.
I would use Studio 1.10 ( or higher) to add manually painted supports on the vertical surfaces, Place them on both sides, or perhaps just on the back side, at about 1/3 and 2/3 of the model height. These will not actually touch the model, but will brace it so that it cannot move enough to create this spaghetti.
I think you were right it may have moved starting the spaghetti mess. I re-printed in PETG-CF I had and it turned out good. I did notice however there is still a small rough or what I think is an under-extrusion patch on the same spot as the green print. Is that the case or could this be something else?
