Hi Guys!
I have been trying multiple time to print this bowl shaped object
However it’s been failing again and again and I don’t understand why.
I’m tinkering with tree support, following various settings from youtube/reddit (because default tree support have been impossible to remove on all my other print).
I had to stop 1 hour into the print :
Previous failure:
it seems like the support base has fused with the print making it impossible to remove.
And i don’t know if its a matter of overextrusion or not, but the nozzle is bumping into the print making bits everywhere.
here are the support settings i’m using:
I’m really new to this, i’d love any advices ! thanks
Do you have an ams?
Use PETG as support interface.
Unless your using a different material for support, I don’t think you can use -0- interface.
Yes I have AMS lite. I have tried PETG as support before but the support did not stick to the plate (probably due to only 60C on build plate for PLA).
I can try, but doing so, wouldn’t it go through filament change for every single layer ? Seems pretty wasteful.

I see, but is there an explanation for the nozzle scratching loads of plastic off the print ?
I’m thinking you’re filament is either wet or the print settings are to cold.
Under support you will find a setting for support material. Choose Support/Raft interface and choose your PETG slot.
Will print PLA for everything but where your support meets the model. Will take a little more time but should leave you with easily removeable supports with little to no surface issues.

You can also do the same thing when printing PETG, use PLA as the support interface.
Do you have to increase the Flush Volume to make sure all the PETG is out before switching to PLA…??
