Failed prints recently

Can’t figure out what happened to my printer. All prints coming out like this now

Looks almost like under extrusion but the inspection layers look good

Have you adjusted anything in your print settings or are they factory defaults ?

All defaults, it just stated printing like this yesterday with all different pla colors

Have you run a calibration on the printer via the touchscreen?

It could be that for whatever reason the print head is too close to the build plate which I’ve found in the past on my other printers looks like under extrusion

You could also try resetting the printer via the touchscreen, you will need to re enter your ip address but that’s no big deal

I forgot to mention keeping the sd card clean will help keep the bugs at bay

I delete all the print files on my card after a few prints, my reasoning is some files are larger than others and along with the time-lapse files they can gobble up a lot of space

Have you tried a cold pull?

Separate note, I’ve noticed something similar to your picture when my filament had a loop fall off the roll and wrap around the spool holder, causing too much friction and extruder slip. I’m assuming this isn’t your issue though since you say it’s multiple filaments.

Another angled view as you mentioned different filaments and stock preset: Which PLA preset are you using in the slicer? An issue could be that a not suitable temp/volumetric flow is set for the PLA you are using. Especially when the first layer is good (cause of the lower speed) and the next layers are underextruded it could be that not enough material can be melted to support the speed.

I swapped the nozzle and the next print was perfect. But now the print after that one I’m running into the same issue again :thinking:

Could it be the extruder wheel?

I had never had a failed print prior to the most recent firmware update, I am now getting a failure with every print since updating.

Ok maybe it is the firmware then? Same issue on my end, I keep having to do cold pulls and or swap nozzles
