I opened a support ticket on this, but thought maybe if someone might know the answer it would help or at least I can post what my solution was if I am able to fix it:
I was printing a box that used 2 colors. During the print, I got a message stating that it failed to cut the filament. I checked the chute and nothing was blocking it. I clicked retry several times and still no go. Here is a video of it in action:
Failed to cut the filament. [0700 8001]
How do I check to make sure the cutter is ok? I could not find any videos or wiki on it. Do I need to replace the cutter? I was able to get the message to go away by unfortunately stopping/cancel the print and then unloading the filament in the AMS. I have not attempted to reprint since I want to be sure the cutter is ok. Can you help me?
Before and after pics of cutter, sharpened on a 1000 grit ceramic stone, couple-three dozen strops got rid of(mostly) the shiny line on the edge of the blade, showing a rounded surface. This is about 80x magnification.
