I’ve been busy printing several copies of the same job, then yesterday morning i got a firmware update notice. I paused did the update then proceeded printing. I printing PETG with PLA support. After the firmware update i started getting “Failed to pull out filament from the Extruder” errors. Nothing was jamming in the extruder, it was just not pulling out the PETG when the PLA support queued to began. I pulled my hair out, different hot ends, different rolls of material, nothing was helping. Every time i printed same error. The i googled it and read on Redit that someone else was experiencing the same issue and it began when they did the firmware update and disappeared after they rolled back the firmware update. So i tired it, i rolled back the firmware and sure enough no more filament jamming errors. Anyone having the same issues, i suggest rollinig back the firmware. I did notice the new firmware was not purging near the amount the prior version did, so i think they have something out of whack with purging between material on the new firmware update.. Anyway, wanted to share incase anyone else see the same iissue.
I have the same thing happening on both of my X1Cs. I would avoid unless necessary. Now to see if I can figure out how to undo the update. My experience was all with PLA.
