Fan covers

I have seen lots of fan covers for the P series like the one below and I was wondering if these are safe to use or if they will mess with the air flow.

If you do not have a problem, it is usually better to leave the Bambu’s as they are.
It took me two months to realize that the days have passed in which we bought printers in order to print parts enabling the printer to print (almost) properly

The only actual printer improvement I have found to be helpful are the rear corner brackets helping with plate alignment and the HULA’s (but the latter is due to my work experience making me particularly prone to applied vibration theory  ).

An AMS is a different story though. Spool centre dessiccant holders, front and rear dessicant containers and AMS savers make printing much more enjoyable.

I understand that the printers do not need these modifications however I wanted to add a pop of color to the printer.

I wanted to print one of these fan covers because I think they look nice; however, I did not want to risk overheating.

Thanks for the feedback.

Well, overheating is more related to the material choice. You’ll want to use something pretty heat resistant (ABS minimum).
Personally, I’d be worried about any particular mod to either underperform or at least make all of my part cooling settings moot.

If it is color that you are after, the safest try is probably to pick up a spare Front cover (€22,- atm), give it a light sanding, a thin coat of primer and some heat resistant paint.
Not a cool and sexy DIY approach (depending on your painting skills), but you do not alter any air flows.

It seems like you believe I want to replace the hole thing however I just want to put a grid cover over the fan please look at the link to see what I am after.
