Feature Request - Additional Speed Percentage Options Mid-Print

On occasion, I find that I’ve overcooked the speed for a print’s geometry and start seeing issues occurring when its printing. If its early enough I’ll just cancel it and re-slice, but on occasion I find this out about 25% or later in to the print and that is generally enough time to make me hesitate on canceling it. From here, I generally just crank it down to “Silent” mode (which is 50% speed) and double the remaining print time when a simple 10-25% would have likely been enough to keep the print on track.

The Ask:

I’d love the ability to set the speed’s percentage factor myself. Adjustments in 10% increments would be great, but I’d settle for an in-between setting like 75% (in-between Silent’s 50% and Standard’s 100%). Maybe even name that one something like “Safe”. I don’t really care about the details, I’d just like an intermediate setting in that range for mid-print adjustments.

As far as I read about Bambu, it’s sadly most likely they never give us enough control over our printer… You’re not the first one that would like a percentage control over the speed. Maybe im wrong (heopefully) and Bambu will finally give us more control, but who knows.

I would suggest, you lower all speeds set in the slicer by 25% and print “normal” in Sports mode, so Sportsmode = 100%
Normalmode = 75 %

Therefore, Silent mode would be horribly slow, but so you could at least achieve 75 % in speed

Just needs the standard UIX convention of double clicking the input field for user input with a masking filter to constrain the limits to feasible values.
