Current version of Makerworld (and Handy to some extent), the comments section prioritize threads with most interaction/conversation. This includes comments/threads where the designer helps a user address issues that may not be related to the model. This is not good for optics as it appears the model has a lot of printing issues.
It would be great if designers can select print pictures or comments to highlight/pin so that they appear as the topmost comments. This way, it encourages more downloads seeing successful makes and great feedback from downloaders.
For example, below is what appears as the topmost comment:
Whereas, below would be a better comment/picture that should appear first. Heck, this user did an even better job than me! Would be great to recognize the user for sharing his/her print by highlighting his/her comment. Sadly, this comment appears a couple pages after the first comments.
I fully support this idea. I think it may be best to just allow the pinning of one comment per model to prevent people from having multiple accounts and pinning a bunch of their own makes. Cheers,
This new feature is great. However, since one can only pin one comment, the very next comment is still the conversation of the creator helping a user solving printing issues. It will be even better to have the ability to push down such conversation(s) from the 2nd place spot.
Another way is to simply sort all the comments by chronological order.Only the one comment that is picked by the creator can override this default order to move to the top.
