Feature Request: AMS HT - please allow dim/disable display

I would greatly appreciate an option allowing us to dim or disable the AMS HT displays when they are not actively drying/printing.

My H2D is nicely dark when not being used, but the AMS HTs in my otherwise dark office, to quote Rhianna, :notes: “Shine bright like a diamond…” :notes:

Perhaps sync the display wake times to the H2D display if someone wants to quickly see the temp/RH in them and otherwise go dark if not actively drying/printing.

I moved this into the official feature request area, now that I know there is one.

If the printer is not in use and sleeping does the display stay illuminated on the AMS HT?

Yes, the HT stays illuminated.

Really poor design choice by Bambu. Thank you for responding.

Hi! +1 to dim/disable options for the AMS HT display.

Additional idea (optional): add a “Standby screen” mode that can show the current time (HH:MM) when the AMS HT is idle (not drying / not actively used). Ideally:

  • Default: OFF (keep current behavior).
  • Options: Show clock; or rotate clock + humidity/temperature every N seconds.
  • Brightness: respect the dim setting / allow very low brightness at night.
  • Time source: synced from the printer / app (Bambu Studio / Handy). If time isn’t available, fall back to current humidity/temperature screen.

Use case: the AMS HT is often in direct line of sight, and a small clock in standby would make the screen more useful without adding extra UI clutter.

Thanks!
