I also thought this was quite annoying that it’s not a feature yet. I’ve been tinkering with some extra features for makerworld through an extension and I made a toggle button that adresses this exactly in my dev build 
It seems to be working on my pc but I still have to do some testing on other pc’s to see if it works! This is just a manual toggle feature instead of having a script check the value of the gift card which could raise privacy concerns regarding the gift card code.
