Feature Request: Guided “Nozzle Swap Wizard” for the H2D

Hey Bambu team,

Love the printer. Seriously — it’s a hell of a machine. The H2D does everything else with polish and precision: auto-calibration, AMS management, bed leveling, filament tracking… it’s borderline magic most days. But for some reason, swapping nozzles still feels like a caveman operation compared to the rest of the experience.

Right now, you’ve got to remember the whole dance yourself:

  • Heat it up enough to clear the filament (but not too hot to burn yourself)
  • Manually unload or cut filament
  • Crack open the clip
  • Yank the nozzle while praying the magnet lets go
  • Clean off the strings
  • Pop the new one in
  • Reseat, relock, and then go run calibrations manually

It’s messy, easy to screw up, and feels completely disconnected from how refined the rest of the ecosystem is.

What I’m asking for:
A “Nozzle Swap Wizard” — just a guided utility that walks you through the process on the touchscreen. Nothing fancy, just smart and safe:

  1. Auto-heat to purge temperature
  2. Unload filament
  3. Move toolhead forward and light the area
  4. Step-by-step prompts: “Flip clip → Pull nozzle → Insert new nozzle → Lock clip”
  5. Detect reseating, cool automatically
  6. Run offset and flow calibration automatically

Done. No guessing, no fumbling, no half-melted filament plugging the works.

You’ve already got the logic and sensors in place to handle all of that. It would fit perfectly with Bambu’s “works like it should” vibe and make nozzle swaps as effortless as everything else on this printer.

Thanks for listening — and for building the most addictive machine I’ve ever owned.
