To summarise, I get a lot of folks having issues printing my models on machines that are not X1 Carbons, but right now MakerWorld just bundles the bigger printers into one profile when I upload the X1C profile. I only own an A1 and X1C so cannot test print on these other printers, so can we please have a way to distinctly label which printers we’ve tested our prints on?
Also, making it so users can share profiles that they have printed (on other machines the original uploader doesn’t own) would help future users find the right profile for their machine, and avoid a lot of issues. Right now the only two printers that can be distinguished when uploaded to makerworld are the A1 and A1 Mini. The rest just get bundled into one profile; I get they’re similar machines, but I’ve seen perfect prints on X1C’s fail horribly on P1S, and the only way to fix those prints is to make drastic changes to the profile to work on the P1S, which then makes the profile look bad if used on an X1C. These machines are clearly different from one another, so why aren’t the profiles able to be separated?
Also, not everyone seems to read the description of a model and adding tags to the model name looks ugly, and likely would violate the new rule changes anyway.
