[FEATURE REQUEST] Option to disregard same color! THIS IS A GOOD IDEA!

Please put in an option to disregard must match the same color for filament runout. I have a print farm with many printers and many different colors in the AMS units, and it takes me sometimes 45-60 minutes to manually change all the colors in the AMS to match even though they are not just so I can take advantage of the runout feature. Then I later forget what color is where and then I have to spend another 45-60 minutes changing them back.

In my business I paint all my models so the color of the final product doesn’t matter because it all gets painted over, but it s HUGE pain to have to manually do all of this on so many printers when it can easily be fixed with a single switch to “Ignore color difference” I can see same material, that’s fine, but the color is meaningless for me. Here is a sample of what I thought might work:

In this suggestion, when I print something, I can check this box on the print dialogue and the printer will ignore the different colors when a runout happens. Checking the box tells the printer to maintain color sync when a runout happens.

The AMS settings simply turn this feature on or off.

I put in this request as well! Hope enough people agree!

Errm, if you don’t care about color why do you have different colors?

Assuming for some reason you have colors to use up and you don’t care about color why don’t you just tell the AMS(s) everything is the same color?

I would assume a print farm with many printers isn’t going to be using expensive and often unavailable Bambu filament with rfid tags.

there are projects that I need to be the same color, that’s why I presented the option to either color sync or not. I thought I expressed that in the original post. Also, some colors provide perfect first levels while others give me nothing but trouble but work fine at level 2+/ I just want to have the option to keep printing regardless of color
