It would be nice to have an image of current printed layer on the display of X1. There is quite a lot of space where only BL X1 image is shown during a print. That section is in use only if there are any messages in HMS. In other times, current layer could be shown if the printer is printing. Something what Octoprint does in Gcode viewer when it is following current state of print.
Also showing current print height (along with layer number) would be nice.
as opposed to looking at the print (since you’re right there)? I’m not sure what showing a picture of the current print state would accomplish that looking at the actual print wouldn’t show.
Second this! It’d be really nice to have a picture of the current layer alongside the camera feed, to give a visual indication of what it’s up to. CNC controllers have this with the “graph” setting, and it’d be equally useful here. Bonus points if it shows the layer below it grayed out for additional context.
