Feature Request (Store): Option to save products to Favourites

This is a feature request for the Bambu Store.

With the release of the H3C I ended up having a bit way too many tabs of the store open with all the items that are currently not available. Their availability dates change, or they were in stock and then went out of stock, and there are just so many things you might need for your brand new printer.

At first, I ended up just adding everything to my cart. But pretty fast that became not sustainable as thing go in and out of stock, switch their places, turn on and off for no reason, and it’s just in general pretty hard to be able to track everything in there.

So I think many users could benefit from being able to save products either to one list (like Favourites) or multiple lists (sub-categories they can manage and sort) for what they want to buy now, in the near future or even on a regular basis.

Implementation

Adding a  button on the product page and a new subpage in the account section, possibly accessible from the Cart as well.

Benefits

People will be able to have a list of all items they are interested in. Having those things ready to view would potentially help Bambu generate more sales as it would be an easy way to remember that you wanted to buy something, and then actually buy it.

You can also use it to track the items you want so when they go on sale, you can easily see it and make a purchase.

In such a list, you can save:

  1. Main filaments that you use and need a constant supply of.
  2. Additional filaments that you want to expand your main colors with, which you probably keep in mind rather than buying them right away, so a way to track them would be good.
  3. Special filaments that you do use but not all the time so you might forget about them.
  4. Printer replacement parts and maintenance items.
  5. Various nozzle sizes and other add-ons that you could improve your printer with.
  6. “ETA” and “Sold Out” items, so all the things we can only sign up to be notified about, but have no way to place in our carts so we actually remember they exist and we want them.

And so on.

For the items that would be added to the lists, they could be added as a whole listing and not just as that one variant, for example:

  • Filaments. You choose the type, color, and you get the ability to choose Refill or Spool right inside the list of favourites.
  • Maker Kits. You select the kit, and it adds as a whole, so you can add whichever option you like in your cart.
  • Nozzles. You select the type of nozzle you want to add, and then from your list you can decide whether you want 0.2mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm or 0.8mm of that type. You might be wanting a 0.4mm initially but another one needs replacement first or you suddenly realize you are missing a different size for your next project.

You can also use such lists to prepare your next purchases. Not dumping everything to your cart but preparing for your next order, the one you plan to place after that, and even the one you might want to place in a couple of months.

For those owning multiple printers, they might want to keep a separate list for some or each of them or at least a separate list per printer series.

There might be people who also place orders not only for themselves, but also help their friends and family buy the missing items. Then they could track the things they want for themselves, and things their family member or friend wants.

You can even make lists of gifts you are planning to buy for your loved ones ahead of the shopping season, and add things there when you realize there is this one thing that person might be super happy to get (maybe even the ability to add notes to the items in your favourites?).

I’m sure you can think of other ways such a feature could benefit you or someone you know.

I hope I’m not alone in this. I really do think this feature could benefit a lot of people if it gets implemented by Bambu.

P.P.S. Due to some weird firewall issues on this forum, I had to attempt making this post more than 10 times. Again and again. So I hope it would have some sort of effect and I didn’t just spend the last few hours for no reason, doing all this just so this feature request would actually go through.

It’s ridiculous that I had to use images to finally post it, but I’m tired of trying to figure out exactly what words were creating this “Access Denied” issue

At least it works now…

@SupportAssistant

Just think about the number of spoises, kids and grandkids who gifted their loved ones an A1 last christmas.

They would find it so much easier to decide how to show their love this christmas if they had access to an easily shareable wishlist…:wink:

The business left on the roadside also increases with time… feature-request :
