Been using the 10W laser on my H2S with Bambu Suite and have a few feature requests. I’m not sure where to give Bambu feedback, because unlike Bambu Studio which is on GitHub, I don’t see a place online other than this forum.

Feature requests:

  • Z-step per pass - I’m trying to cut acrylic and it would be great to be able to set 10 passes, 0.1 lower z-step per in order to get through certain materials with a clean cut. Lightburn/xTools seems to have this.

  • Ability to turn off Auto Arrange or at least not have your design go haywire when moving to the “prepare” phase. Why bother having the plate sizes and positioning if it gets thrown out the window the minute you click prepare. Feels equivalent to moving an image one pixel in a 200 page MSWord document and having all formatting change.

  • Birds Eye Camera timelapse or periodic update during cutting/engraving. I don’t need a live feed, but a new snapshot every 10-15 seconds seems reasonable.

  • I often design while 3d-printing something, why does it always warn me to “install the required module”?

  • Why does Project Info require a pictures if I’m not planning on uploading. I use it to track notes, etc on what I’m working on.

  • It would be great to see some sort of timeline for other features that were advertised (Rotary tool, 3d-mesh for H2D, etc)

  • Nit-picky:
    ** Make the order of cutting to be more obvious. Just something somewhere that is a visual indication. It took me awhile to figure out the order in which they appear in list on the right in “design” and the left in “prepare” are the order in which they are processed.
    ** Pinch to zoom like Studio?

Just wanted to UP this, as some features like the ability to turn off Auto Arrange seems to me a huge leap forward in the user experience. I stopped using my 40W laser a couple of month ago because of this to go back on my old 5W running with Lightburn.

Just a quick note because this topic has been pushed up: The best place for feature requests is on GitHub, right at the source.

While feature requests are of course also expressed in this forum, you are much closer to the developers at GitHub and they even respond from time to time. At least when the requests go very deep into the programming.

Please note: trivial questions & requests will be ignored, in most cases. You should write in detail what you want exactly.

That would be great, but we aren’t talking about Studio, we are talking about Bambu Suite, which has no GitHub repository (that I know of).

There is no separate GitHub repository for Bambu Suite. However, you can still contact the developers using the link I provided regarding Bambu Suite and receive a response from the programming team, for example:

“Thank you for your feedback. We have forwarded your feature suggestion to the Suite development team for evaluation. We greatly appreciate you sharing your valuable insights and user experience. We will continue to optimize our product to deliver an enhanced user experience.”

Edit: By the way, the developers of the mobile app are also represented, I completely forgot to mention that.

I would like to up the “Pinch to zoom”-request. I love using the TrackPad on my Mac, but zooming with CMD-scrolling is just pain.
