Description: I am currently using the AMS-HT with high-modulus engineering materials, specifically PA6-CF. Due to the extreme stiffness of this filament, the AMS-HT motor occasionally struggles with the initial resistance when pushing the material through the long PTFE path to the toolhead.
The Issue: When the feeding process encounters high resistance, the system currently attempts several retries before automatically initiating a full rewind and throwing an error. In many cases, a small manual “assist” (gently helping the filament move forward) would allow the filament to reach the extruder gears, after which the print proceeds without any issues.
The Suggestion: I suggest adding a “Manual Assist” or “Pause for Intervention” window in the firmware/Bambu Studio when a feeding struggle is detected, but before the system decides to rewind the filament.
Proposed Workflow:

AMS-HT detects high resistance during feeding.

Instead of an immediate rewind/retry loop, a pop-up appears: “Feeding resistance detected. Please check the filament path or assist the feed manually, then click ‘Resume’.”

The user can then provide that slight manual push needed for stiff materials.

Once the toolhead filament sensor is triggered, the printer continues as normal.
Benefit: This would significantly improve the success rate for engineering-grade, stiff, or brittle filaments that are technically compatible with the AMS-HT but suffer from path resistance during the initial load.
