FilaFlex 82A

Does anyone have a decent print profile for this filament?

I know it cannot be used in the AMS, and that is fine, but has anyone dialed in this filament? TIA.

Here are a few parameters:
Print temperature 235°C. Cool Plate / Engineering Plate 30°C

Set the volume speed down to avoid surprises! I did a little math and a little good feeling and set it to 2.5mm³/s for me. Based on my other print profiles for other printers. Set all speeds to 25mm/s. Turn off the cooling, I set the fan speeds to “0”.

Print with 4 walls at first.

These are only indications of the right direction to go in. Such parameters can also differ for the same object if you print it in different sizes.

From a working basic profile, you can move on to improved settings for your print object, for more speed (at the expense of durability) or higher temperature.

Maybe use a glue stick. 82A is extremely adhesive when you want to remove the residue.

Never put the filament into the AMS! You will not get it out. I was afraid of destroying the AMS when I had to remove it. 82A is definitely too soft for that!

This is extremely good advice and I am currently experiencing the after-effects of a successful 70A print on my G10 plate. It’s not fun.

Thanks I will give it a try!

Working very well so far. Minimal extrusion artefacts, no major stringing.

I also have this colour

Its a good colour! I planned to print a Thing hand with it - but wanted to get the settings right first.

The only issue with the print I tried was z-seam defects on overhangs - I have disabled z-hop to see if that helps - will let you know.
