Hi Guys - trying to make sense of this and not sure if I am going down the wrong path and need some clarification / validation. If I save a project (3MF) - after adjusting all my print and filament settings - those settings should be saved so the next time I open that project (providing I have the same filaments loaded in the AMS) - I should just be able to print again without adjusting anything, correct? I have been using the desktop slicer to send jobs to the printer at the moment as I familiarize myself. If I just wanted to print the same project again - I should be able to go right to the touch panel as well (providing nothing has changed) - correct? - I don’t know why, but after using Prusa MK3 printers for so long - I am a bit confused on how this slicer saves and transfers settings. It seems even after I make a change to the filament profile for one filament in the AMS, another filament changes back. For example - I changed the bed temperature on a generic PLA, and then changed the temperature on a Bambu PLA - and when I did that the generic PLA bed temp went back to default values. Any clarification / steps on this is appreciated. Trying to get a level of consistency and flow to my projects and process and it just seems disjointed at the moment. Thanks
There are two ways to “reprint” a part at a later date without having to reopen the 3mf file in Bambu Studio.
If you are sending prints through the cloud service (over Wifi) you can reprint a part (with all the same settings) via the Handy App. In the app, Click “Me” in the bottom right corner. Select “Printing History”. Select the model you want to reprint and then “Print Again”.
The other option is to put an SD card into the printer and “Send” the sliced print via Bambu Studio rather than “Print” it. This transfers the sliced file to the SD on the printer and you can then select the file to print via the touch screen at any point in the future.
