I think I made a mistake by upgrading my P1S firmware and Studio/Handy. It’s been nothing but a pain to use since then.
I started a large print and knew that I would run out of filament on one roll, but I had a second new roll in the slot next to it in my AMS. Oddly, it was very difficult to assign the new roll in the first place as Studio kept erroring out and reverting to the old roll. I was finally able to change the roll in Handy and it seemed to “take” where Studio failed.
My print started, and as expected, a couple of hours later the first roll ran out. I got a notification in Handy that the filament would be switched to the new slot, but when the last bit of the old roll was printed, the AMS did not switch to the new slot.
I’ve tried moving the new roll into the original AMS slot, but it appears that my printer is just stuck. Whether the new filament is in the first slot or the second slot, the AMS doesn’t even attempt to load from either one. I’m hoping that there is something that I can try so that I don’t have to start over and lose hours of time and wasted filament.
I’ve tried unplugging/plugging in the AMS in case it needed to “reboot”, but that didn’t help.
I’ve looked into reverting my P1S to an earlier firmware, but there is no option to do so in Handy. I’m getting really frustrated with these software/server/certificate errors at this point.
Before I just scrap the print and start over, does anyone have any ideas on how to recover from this?
