Filament blobs in print

This is my first post so apologies if the tag is wrong. I’m getting blobs when, it seems, the seam is anything other than Aligned. With aligned they mostly disappear. I’m printing on H2D with PLA with nozzel temp 220. Any suggestions as to what I should change in the Bambu settings would be much appreciated.

That’s what happens when you use random seam, it just spreads zits around, just use aligned or manually paint where you want your seam

Thank you. But why would anyone want to set a random seam?

Well it works well with some very organic shapes, for example a tree bark style texture. I personally use it sometimes when I use fuzzy skin as well

If you need a part that rolls evenly, randomly scattered zits are less troublesome than the bump at an aligned seam.

I’m curious what you would do in the case of a round bowl where you would have to choose between the exposed seam and the zits

I would try a scarf seam. It may require some tuning but they can look better than others on curved surfaces.

What nobody’s mentioned yet is these zits can be reduced and nearly eliminated with a well calibrated machine and dry filament.

Random seams are better for structural parts, as they won’t have a single seam that can be a failure point, or if it’s meant to be a sealed vessel, a leak point.
