Filament color display in bambu studio?

Asking for help as I must miss something in bambu studio settings to display the color of the filament I choose. I have assigned colors to my filament but when I change filament, the model color does not change. It works in Orcaslicer but not in bambu studio.

As an example, when I import a model and select my sunlu PLA blue, the model does not turn blue but keeps whatever color I had assigned previously or was assigned by the previous 3mf file. When I switched to my grey ABS, the model does not turn grey although blue and grey are set in each filament profiles.

Note that I have no AMS if that’s a factor.

It’s probably a bug. I believe it used to work in BS. I only use OS now, so I don’t have a better answer.

Just curious… why bother with BS if you have OS installed?

I prefer the bambu green color :upside_down_face: Just kidding, it’s just that I haven’t transferred all my presets yet and bambu studio gives me everything I need. I can use them alternatively and I think they are mostly aligned at this point, I haven’t found many advantages using orcaslicer over bambu studio except may be this slight glitch I was reffering too if that’s really a bug.

If you have enabled synch through the Bambu cloud, Studio presets will automatically appear in Orcaslicer.

Yes and no. I use exclusively LAN only mode and if I log in and sync through bambu cloud, my presets will be available in orcaslicer in cloud mode, not LAN mode. I can do it manually, no issue, I could just copy and paste my configs from bambu studio to orcaslicer or import configs, I just have not done it yet although it’s only a couple of minutes.

Back to my question, do you have same behaviour as I have with filament colors not updating (that is if you use bambu studio ).

I do in fact have the same problem. It used to work, but now the filament color in the preview can only be set manually, which is a bit annoying. Do you already have a solution for the problem?
