Filament cutter blinking red light

In my X1C, there is a blinking red light near the filament cutter. The cutter seems to be working fine, but when I see a blinking red light, I get alarmed. There are no errors on the LED panel. I searched the wiki and reddit forums, but have not seen anything. Is this light red light normal? Thanks.

You mean the slowly and occasionally blinking red light on the rear of the printhead? Yeah, that is normal.

I should have uploaded this pic to begin with - sorry about that. I think this is where you are saying the blinking red light is ok. Why is it blinking - what does it mean?
redLight

It is blinking because it is checking to see if the waste chute is full or starting to fill.

It blinks and a receiver LED lets the mcu know that everything is clear. If it is not clear, it will pause the print.

Then you would have to clear the chute. Usually a dirty nozzle or stringing causes this problem. The nozzle wiper also could be worn out and needs changing.
