In Bambu Studio under device tab, information about filaments in the X1C AMS is showing correctly, however when I go to prepare tab-> filament & click sync or resync it does show correct filaments. Also when i go to print a two colour object for example and attempt to choose a different colour/filament option two filament slots from the AMS are greyed out, even though I have 4 rolls of filament loaded This keeps happening & I don’t know how to fix it. I powered down & back on the X1C, tried restarting Bambu studio, but still the same issue remains.
The filament in the AMS has to be matched with the same type of filament that the model was sliced for.
For example. If the model was sliced for PLA, then only filament that is PLA will be available from the AMS. PETG/ABS/PLA-CF will be grayed out.
In Bambu studio, just add your filament that you want to print with. The location in Bambu Studio and the AMS do not have to match.
If you are using non Bambu filament then you need to input the type into the AMS manually as it has no way of knowing what you have loaded.
Click on the pencil icon in Bambu Studio or do it through the display interface on the printer.
This isn’t relevant I have 3 x bambu basic pla & 1 x bambu pla support in the AMS. The print job is two colour bambu basic but two of the bambu basic pla filaments are greyed out in the print dialogue even though all showing in device information.
Did you try to resync bambu-studio with your printer?
Screen shots of your problem will help to maybe see the problem.
Yes resynced several times
(Windows-Key+Shift+S): screenshot the print dialog, I mean you certainly have ‘use AMS’ checked right? It’s the only thing I can think of. Well, besides removing and reseating the filaments in the AMS just for fun.
