Filament low stock levels?

Low stock levels (Australia)

I’ve been waiting for certain colours to become available from the store - in PLA and PETG. They are out of stock for so many colours. Been this way for a while now. Does anyone know how often the Australian store is restocked? They promote an entire range of great colours but they never seem to have stock. Look like I’m better of buying elsewhere… although I do have some gift cards that need redeeming. I better look at components or hardware because trying to buy filament is not happening anytime soon.

Ditto for the US store. There’s way more out of stock than in-stock. Because of the way the member program works, it doesn’t make sense to order piecemeal. It also doesn’t give an ETA on when filaments will be available again - I could definitely be wrong, but I think the store used to. The store does list expected availability for other items, that could be what I’m thinking of.

Anyone @BambuLab able to give an update on when things will be restocked?

Thanks!

Pretty dead out of stock in Canada. lol I just give up on the membership - such a waste can’t even use it.

Yikes. The US store is getting close to that as well. Wonder if the restock supply sunk to the bottom of the ocean on that cargo ship that burned up with all the EV’s on it.

Joking aside - it would be interesting to know why the stock levels have dropped this low. I wonder if there was a rush on filament with the release of the A series machines. Totally agree that the membership is basically useless if they can’t keep stock. I would have a hard time paying for it if this keeps up, the only reason I have it at the moment is because it was given out for 6 months for ‘free’ - although it ends up being about the same price as the previous bulk purchase deals.

I was going to buy a new printer from them but not going to do it now while their PLA is so out of stock. They should extend the membership. Now I’m not buying a printer or filament. Yes I know I can use others but why shouldn’t I have to. So what they started as an incentive to buy their printers has become a disincentive.

for EU :eu: region

ETA: Before Jan 28th

The US store is getting restocked right now - most filaments are available.

edit : placed a big order this morning, it’s already shipped, should arrive tomorrow. Would have been nice to have a bit of a heads up as to when stock would be back so I don’t have to panic order when things I would like suddenly show up in stock.

congrats. I don’t want to poke > but they’ll notify about availability when you opted in :stuck_out_tongue: just saying :see_no_evil:

Agree it’s dissapointing - the UK store also has more out of stock than in. I can’t see the point in having this ‘membership’ if they can’t keep the basics like PLA/PETG in stock.

It’s frustrating as I ordered two spools of grey PETG with my printer a few weeks ago. Now I want to print a riser for the AMS which means I need another spool - but of course, it’s out of stock. I could just order three spools of some other brand from Amazon but I was looking forward to the whole Bambu ecosystem of things with automatically detected filaments etc etc.

I can get most things from China via AliExpress in 5-7 days. How can BambuLabs fail to keep their regional warehouses stocked up. If it were just that certain colours had gone out of stock for a week and were then replenished I’d understand but in PLA a lot of the popular colours have been out of stock for 4+ weeks since I started looking at purchasing my printer.

Agree an ETA for restock would be very useful - it’s all very well registering to be informed when stock arrives but not knowing whether that might be in a few days or a few months just encourages you to go elsewhere.

Thanks for the info, Super Chief, but you missed the point. There was no estimated date until recently, it just said out of stock. And, the main point being what’s the point of the membership if there’s nothing to order?

I gave up, I started a project with a spool of basic dark gray 10105 which I received with my printer, and I have been waiting for Bambu to restock since. Today I ordered ESun filament from Amazon and moved on. I will be buying directly from filament suppliers moving forward.
