Filament matches X2D Case / Housing / Shell

Has anyone found a dark gray PETG, ASA, or ABS filament that closely matches the color of the X2D printer housing?

I’m looking to print some accessories for it, but so far I haven’t come across any recommendations that are a really good color match.

If you have found a match please post filament type, and a picture :grinning_face:

polymaker petg dark grey, just a little too light. Bambu lab petg-cf titan gray, just a little too dark. thats the closest filament i have seen. think polymaker petg dark grey with a slight fuzzy skin added would look good. but not tested yet. google X2D color match filament, you find a reddit post on this with pictures :slight_smile:

Found the thread on Reddit for anyone else looking for this topic: X2D color match filament - research inside

Reddit user “dedgedesign” posted these two pictures in the thread showcasing different filaments compared to the X2D housing;

I recently ordered PETG-CF Titan Gray myself and received it today, seems like a good match.

Printed a poop chute in Bambu Pla Basic Dark Grey and it looks just like the outside shell of the X2D.

Passt das gut dann bestelle ich das, danke

The AMS mounts are tinmorry PETG-CF dark gray. Sorry, I should have uploaded this in my original comment lol. It’s an H2C, but the x2d and the H2C are the same color. I’ll grab a better pic later of the same part next to my x2d.

Ok thanks then I will order the filament. I want to print the drawer from cc3d projects, i really like rhe design.

If PETG is too light you can add a wall to make it darker. So if the one that is too light was printed with 2 Walls, make it 3. Usually does the trick. In short, the third wall reduces the amount of light passing through the outer shell to the infill gaps, which can make the solid color appear deeper and richer. It’s all about removing some translucency**.**
