Filament Not Feeding/Extruding. No Clicking or Clogged Filament

Hi All,

I recently tried to use a Silk PLA filament in my P1S. It printed for a while and at some point, it continued to print without actually extruding any filament. Unloading and loading new filament generated a clicking sound. I figured there was a clog. Sure enough, the hot end was clogged and I cleared the clog.

I tried a different Silk PLA, that loaded fine. Tried to print, printed part way and it no longer extruded. Unloading and reloading, yielded the same clicking which I then unclogged the hot end. Seeing that the Bambu was not liking these filaments, I tried to load my regular, tried and true, ordinary ABS and PLA filaments. Loading brought the filament in but did not extrude anything. When I tried to unload it wouldn’t release. No clicking sound this time even when I tried to further extrude more. When I "unload’ the filament would not release so I yanked it out.

I opened the heatend again and there was no clog. So now, no clog, no clicking, but won’t load and, once I try to unload, it won’t unload unless I pull very hard to get it out. Any thoughts on what I should do would be appreciated. Do I need a new extruder:?

This is still an issue for me. Bumping to see if I can get any help. Is there any other way to get help with Bambu printers?

Hi nsainfreek,
I suggest you check the extruder for clogs, broken filament, etc.
You can find instructions for doing this here. Extruder clog | Bambu Lab Wiki
Good luck

Hello! Yesterday, I was printing with a silk filament from eSun. Towards the end of the print, I noticed that the printhead didn’t extrude. I checked if I had the same problem with other filaments, but it appeared that the others extruded normally. There was a noise coming from the ams gear trying to load the filament, so I loaded the filament manually using Bambu Studio and checked the filament with my hand for anomalies. It appeared that the filament had created a neck at some point, which prevented the gears from feeding it into the extruder. I pushed the filament with my hand, forcing it into the extruder. For now, it runs normally. However, it was noted that all my other filaments loaded and printed successfully.
