Filament or printer issue? Please help!

I just got my brand new A1 printer, and I was using it. I printed some parts that are moving like gears. I realized that the gears are extremely stiff to put on the main object, and it’s very hard to move them. So I’m wondering if this is a printer issue or a slicer one that I can fix or a filament issue. I use Inland PLA filament from Micro Center. I use the default slicer settings for all my prints because I’m a beginner so I don’t know what to do!

One option may be to scale one or the other bigger or smaller in the slicer. If your model allows without causing other issues.

I thought of this, but the prints I’m making if something is off by a centimeter it won’t fit.

It sounds like a tolerance issue with the model

I asked the guy Who made the model And he said that he’s printed this model on the A1 many times

Do you meant you use the print profile that the desinger provided? If not, use his since he has successfully printed the model.

Have you calibrated your filament? You could be over extruding. You need to verify what you print is the actual size as defined by the design.

Do you know where I can see that?

How do you do this on an A1? I usually do flow calibration every print.

I use default settings the slicer provides not his. I will try this later.

I don’t have an A1 so maybe it is different than my P1S. I am referring to the Flow dynamics and Flow rate calibrations in the Calibration tab of Bambu Studio. I do a ‘hybrid’ calibration by performing the Flow Dynamics in BS going in 0.001 steps from 0.010 to 0.050.

I follow that by performing a test print using the extrusion Multiplier Calculater and test model found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1622868. I do this for filament I am going to use for models with close tolerances. Make sure you print the test pieces exactly as described in the instructions on the spreadsheet.

On the righthand side of the model page. Under Print Profile, like this.

Oh ok! I got to print that it looks very cool!

This worked! Thanks I watched a video and did it on my A1 and it worked! I will have the video here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gtWmaRd_rio
