You’re right, and that’s a real trap: a low part-cooling override from a P1S would silently cancel the H2S defaults. So I changed the tool:
- Any overridden fan/cooling, chamber or max-volumetric-speed values are now listed as a warning after porting, so you see exactly what was tuned for the old machine.
- There’s a new “Reset cooling, chamber & flow to the new printer’s defaults” option (–reset-cooling in the CLI). It drops those overrides and takes the target’s system values, while keeping things that belong to the filament itself: temperatures, flow ratio, pressure advance.
Agreed that the stock profiles are a good starting point. The goal is only to keep your per-filament calibration, not the machine-specific workarounds. Thanks for pushing on this.
