Happy New Year. I enjoy playing with my Bambu X1C but I cannot get the filament sensor to pause the project when the filament runs out. The machine keeps running like it is still laying the filament until it thinks the project is complete.
If you have an AMS, I do believe there is an option under device settings somewhere, that tells the machine to “auto-fill” if it detects the spool it’s using has run out. I can’t check right now, it’s late, but I believe it’s where you configure filaments and load/unload them (there’s a button that says auto-fill).
Why that isn’t on by default, I don’t know. (probably has something to do with other colours in the AMS maybe not being compatible/similar?)
If you don’t have an AMS, I don’t know if that option will work, and you might want to make a Feature Request.
I have the ams but don’t use it and cannot find anyplace in the program to turn it on or off
Thanks for the reply when I get done with my current projects Ill install the AMS and see if there is something else that shows up
