Filament slot for carbon

Hi All, I have a X1C Carbon and two AMS Units. I Have A roll of PA6-CF. I would like to print some Industrial Type Parts. My Question is Since THE AMS will not handle the PA6-CF I Plan to put it in a Drier and run it into the Hub. Which Port should I Use and Is the 1st Slot the One by Itself on the X1C Display panel the one that loads that filament. Since new it has said PLA on the panel and I never have loaded anything. Hmmmmmm Any help would be great! Thanks

The AMS Hub is not meant for manual filament feeding. To minimize the wear from the abrasive fIlament you should feed it directly through the ptfe tube on the back of the machine, or for convenience through a y splitter like those.

It maybe will run in the ams (you may find the rfid triggers a warning), but its not recommended for a few reasons. One is its abrasiveness will wear into the PTFE plus the Feeder/Hubs/Buffer, keep the wear to a minimum by running it straight to the top connector from the dryer.

Note. This isn’t accelerated wear but just an indication of what it will do over time.
