Hello, im a first timer here. My a1 mini just arrived by the courier. Ive tried to print but cant seem to make it work. Ive failed to print the boat thing inside the microsd.
Sa far, what i experience was
1.) 1st layer Bed adhession, really had an issue with this, tried cleaning and tightening the hot end screws and recalibrations as described in the FAQs. Turns out my work table was very shaky. Placing the printer on the floor seems to fix that.
2.) I think the filament is sticking to the nozzle and the accumulated plastic hits the laid out plastic thereby destroying the print as shown above. I have no clue whats happening, much less idea on how to fix this. I think the nozzle is not clogged as have np issue extruding filament after every failed print. Must be something else.
I am using a cheap generic pla filament that i ordered together with the printer. Im running 0.12mm superfine settings on the app.
Would be great if somebody can tell me whats happening and any solutions to this.
Welcome to the forum.
How are you cleaning your bed? All of your issues seem to stem from adhesion problems. Take your bed off, wash it wish dish soap really well. Give it a good scrub and then rinse with hot water. Tap dry with a new paper towel making sure not to touch the build surface with your hands/fingers.

Hello, thanks for the reply. Ive done exactly what you said just before the print on the picture. It really improved the adhesion for the first layer. But the problem is now on the 2nd or 3rd.
I see some filament coming out of the nozzle faster than being laid out. Then those bunch of Filament touches and carries off plastic thata already in place
You’re using Bambu PLA or some other brand? If it is some other brand you may need to up the nozzle temperature as 3rd party filament can have issues flowing/adhering at the speed the Bambu printers print at.

Im using a generic pla filament. Any ideas on good temps/settings for PLA?
Im still trying to learn how to overwrite the bambu app preset for the filaments
Can be flow rate, temperature, retraction, or any combination of those. You need to calibrate the printer for the cheap filament.

If it’s a non branded/generic pla, i would start by lowering the volumetric flow for that filament for something like 16 to start. You can do that by following this screenshot and changing that in your generic filament settings.
Some filaments can’t be printed at the same speed as the ones from Bambu or other brands and require less volumtric flow and speeds to match. But you can try that first and then give us your feedback
Solved (i think)
I updated my firmware then everything went well.
