Filament stock and Filament Membership

I really love the convenience of the automatic identification of Bambu Lab filament, and I think it is of good quality, it’s very unfortunate that I always find the EU store out of stock for most of the colors.
also, I checked and it seems that the Filament Membership program can’t be renewed after the 6 months unless you buy a new printer.
it would be a good idea to have an adequate price as a subscription fee to extend the membership.
since Bambu Lab has a very good closed environment that works well, it would be profitable for them and useful to the customers, but they need to manage their stock better and then make the membership available for purchase

My guess is that they will bring in a membership purchase option in a couple months when the first round of 6 month memberships are about to expire.

I agree that the automatic identification and fact that the print parameters are near perfectly set are a significant plus to their filaments, and the Filament Membership should be a renewable subscription. However, since the membership-priced filaments have been – and continue to be – nearly all out of stock except for the more garish colors, the program currently seems more of a scam or bait-and-switch. I got my P1S in November with 8 rolls of filament and for the past couple weeks I’ve wanted to buy additional filament but the basic colors, especially including White, are always out of stock. The problem is so bad that it makes me wonder if Bambu Lab is preparing to get out of the filament buisness. Does anyone have any information in that regard?

I strongly doubt that they want out of the filament business after creating such an environment for their printers with the RFID and all that. it’s one of their strong points in my opinion, to sell easy-to-use printers.
my guess is that so many people bought them in the last months and they poorly planned the whole thing.
I just hope that they start investing in such things, because in the current market it’s easy to miss a train and let competitors get ahead of you.
they really need to make some changes in that direction if they want their system to make sense and people to spend their money into it

was looking at purchasing some PETG but when I go to purchase, its $27.99/roll which to me is super expensive. (4) rolls was $123.xx after tax… what kind of “DEAL” is it really? And what is the $16.99 filament actually?

We have the printers, don’t jerk our chains or we simply will not buy the filament.

You have to buy 4 refill rolls to get the $16.99 price break. Price is calculated at checkout.

right. The picture I took was example only, and was 4 rolls. What kind of loyalty program is this if you must buy 4 rolls of the most basic to get a discount?

It is not that great of a deal, I ended up getting 7 rolls of PETG for $105 from Amazon.

For “loyalty” keep us coming back, give us “loyal” customers an actual loyalty program.
