Yes that is why the inverter ones are so desirable. It might pay for itself for you to buy a high SEER mini-split and just put both sides inside and pump the condensate out.
Thats surprisingly expensive. I guess those things are not meant to be run 24/7.
I use a cheap 95 Oz dehumidifier for my office and it will pull about 200 watts when really being pushed, but most of the time it only pulls 50 when on.
Im guessing it is around 5 to 8 USD on my bill at 13.5 cents per kwh. I think it really depends on the rest of your home, since my air conditioner does the heavy lifting.
Yep they by default will cycle on/off to a humidity setpoint, and I measured mine at about 60watts when its just fanning and not compressing. So the duty cycle puts your bill between 10-125. ⦠But they do have a real tempting āTurbo/Continuousā button that tells it to haul ā ā ā as hard as itll do, forever.

The one I have is āPelonisā and is ~1hp compressor based, drains itself, blahblahblah. If you were in california or on rural electric you might spend more on electricity in the first month than the cost of the unit!
Your experience that you relate just does not fit with mine. I donāt know why but with all the intermixing of non-Bambu printers and filaments, and reluctance to just answer direct questions, Iām not going to spend any more time with this. I know what Iāve tested and how, and I know what my results have been. If you ever determine why your results are different, you ought to tell others.
Up to you, of course. I donāt think you realize that the difference in speed between the P1S and The Elegoo Centauri Carbon is virtually nonexistent. There are small variations as the firmware on them is updated, causing one or the other to pull slightly ahead.
